World Forum on Skin Cancer in Persons with Albinism
Cape Town, South Africa │ 27-28 October 2025
The first World Forum on Skin Cancer in Persons with Albinism will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, on 27–28 October 2025. This two-day meeting will bring together dermatology experts, researchers, and patient organizations to address the urgent need for stronger skin cancer prevention and management in persons with albinism. The Forum will provide a platform to assess the global burden of skin cancer and to develop coordinated strategies that reduce its impact on the lives of affected individuals.

Field Visits
The Global Albinism Alliance conducts field visits in communities around the world to gain firsthand insight into the daily challenges faced by persons with albinism. These visits allow us to listen directly to community members, observe local conditions, and identify the most pressing needs in areas such as health, education, and social inclusion. By engaging closely with communities on the ground, GAA can ensure that our initiatives respond to the realities of everyday life for persons with albinism.

Mentoring & Collaboration
The Global Albinism Alliance is dedicated to helping establish and nurture new national albinism organizations. We provide guidance, mentorship, and practical support at every stage, from initial planning to full operation. By sharing best practices, fostering collaboration, and offering tailored resources, GAA empowers these organizations to grow stronger, expand their reach, and effectively serve their communities. Through this support, we aim to build a global network of capable, sustainable albinism organizations that can advocate for rights, health, and inclusion in every country.
